③Initial indication examination with limited wearing of contact lens
Do not wear soft contact lenses for 2 days before your examination, and stop wearing hard- or continuous wear contact lenses for 2 weeks before your examination. If you are receiving treatment at another department, please bring your doctor's medical information provision form. After an adaptive test and a doctor's examination, the schedule will be decided upon by coordinating with the counselor. A fundus examination is also performed to check the back of the eye for any illness. It will be difficult to see for 3-4 hours on the day, so you cannot drive your own car to visit the hospital. Please note that it will be difficult to see your hands.
④Antibiotic eye drops for surgery
Please apply eye drops 3 days before surgery. Please come to the hospital after instilling the eye drops twice on the day of surgery. The eye drops are important in preventing infectious diseases.
⑤On the day of surgery
You can wear contact lenses until the day before surgery, but please come with glasses on that day. You cannot drive your own car to visit the hospital on the day of the surgery. Oral medication and eye drops are prescribed. Please use as instructed by your doctor. After surgery, wear contact lenses to protect the corneal surface. Check that the wound has healed and do not remove it yourself until your doctor removes the lens. You can go home with the protective glasses provided by our hospital.
⑥Regular examination
In addition to the medical examination the day after the surgery, we will perform the examination 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after the operation. After that, we recommend that you have a medical examination once a year.
* Depending on the progress of surgery, you may be asked to visit other hospitals.
⑦ICL additional surgery
Those who wish to have additional ICL surgery so that they can live with the naked eye will be examined for additional ICL surgery after confirming that the corneal shape is stable 3-4 months after corneal cross-linking.
