Not everyone needs correction to a level of 1.5 or 2.0. People who currently wear weaker glasses or contact lens prescriptions, or those aged 45 and above, may find that they are able to see “too well” at a distance, the down side of which is eyestrain during tasks such as desk work and reading (this includes the phenomenon popularly known as “over-correction”). For some people, naked eye vision with a little myopia is just right.
