💡Teens to early 40s
ICL is recommended for people who need correction for myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism.

Myopia may continue to progress until around the age of 30, but if your vision deteriorates and it begins to affect with your daily life, you can have your lenses replaced and be able to go back to living with naked eyes.

Some people in their 40s start to experience presbyopia. We also offer bifocal intraocular contact lenses, but most people still have mild presbyopia, and many of them are suitable for ICL.
The progression of presbyopia varies from person to person, so if you are concerned, please come to the clinic for a consultation.

💡Late 40s to 50s
Most people in their late 40s start to experience presbyopia.

・see far away with contact lenses but can’t see things close up.
・see far away with glasses and naked eyes can see things close up.
・see things far away with naked eyes, need reading glasses to see things close up.

Are there many people who are troubled by this?

We will confirm with you about the areas you want to prioritize and see well after surgery, and recommend the best lens for you from among three types of lenses: ICL, IPCL, or EVOviva.
There are some patients who are not recommended for any surgeries, and some who are better off waiting a few years before surgery, so please consult with us first.

💡60s ～
Many people over the age of 60 begin to develop cataracts. Some people begin to develop cataracts as early as their 40s and 50s. Even if you still have good eyesight, you may still have cataracts.
As cataracts progress, you will no longer be able to see even with glasses or contact lenses, and cataract surgery will be required.
Even if you have surgery such as ICL when you have cataracts, your eyesight will not improve, and you may need cataract surgery within a few years.
