We are sometimes asked, “Can I go home by myself after ICL surgery?” After surgery, patients still cannot see clearly and cannot drive a car or ride a bicycle, but they can see well enough to go home by train, so most patients are able to go home by themselves.

After the surgery, you will need to use three types of eye drops, then you will rest for about 30 minutes. After two examinations and a consultation, you will be asked to put on protective glasses and free to go home.

On the day of surgery, your pupils will be dilated with eye drops, so you will feel bright outside.
Please be careful when you go home as the light will still be hazy and bright.

Although this varies from person to person, you will be able to see more clearly the next day after the surgery.
It will take about a month for your vision to stabilize.

It is important to come in for regular checkups to make sure you are not having any problems with your vision.
