Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

I have had LASIK before, can I have laser cataract surgery or multifocal intraocular lens surgery?

Laser cataract surgery is also possible for those who have had LASIK before. In laser cataract surgery, a femtosecond laser is used to incise the anterior capsule (lens shell) of the crystalline lens and divide the nucleus, and then the cloudy crystalline lens is ultrasonically sucked out and an intraocular lens is inserted. You can take this process just like you wouldn’t have LASIK. Multifocal intraocular lenses can also be used for those who wish to be able to see with the naked eye in both perspective after cataract surgery after LASIK surgery.
