Our clinic offers free information sessions on ICL.
Please note that the initial consultation candidate examination (which costs 10,000 yen for the examination and consultation), and the free information session are separate sessions.
Information sessions are held on weekdays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m.
The session lasts approximately one hour.
As it is a one-on-one consultation, we limit the number of participants to a small number.
There is a simple examination at the information session.
The examination includes a medical questionnaire, objective refraction, visual acuity test, and anterior segment OCT.
First, you will be asked to fill out a medical questionnaire.
[Objective refraction test]
This is a test often performed in ophthalmology, where the patient is asked to look vaguely at a hot air balloon or a house. This test allows the doctor to measure the approximate degree of vision and to know the patient’s vision.
[Eyesight test]
To check your normal vision, we will measure your eyesight with glasses or contact lenses on. This test uses a “C”-shaped diagram (Landolt ring), which is a common feature of ophthalmology.
[Anterior segment OCT examination]
OCT is an abbreviation for optical coherence tomography, and this is the most important examination, which measures whether the ICL can actually be placed inside the eye. This can be done even with contact lenses on.
It is very important to know the actual visual acuity and interocular space of each patient through a simple test.
After the simple test, we will have you watch a video about ICL and then provide counseling.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
