Is ICL surgery for everyone?
Yes, this surgery is geared toward anyone from 18 to around 50 years of age. Exceptions include people with eye diseases that may affect vision, or those whose anterior chamber (where the ICL is placed) is extremely narrow. Based on precise screenings and diagnostics performed at our clinic, the patient will be informed of whether or not the surgery is feasible.
Can I take ICL surgery if I have very high or low myopia?
The ICL lens power range is as wide as -0.5 to -18.0D, and it can be used for most people with mild to very high myopia. In addition, in February 2019, the Japan Ophthalmology Society's refractive surgery guidelines were expanded and relaxed from the previous -6D or more to -3D or more. Literature 9

I’m worried about pain during and after the surgery.
The surgery is performed with a topical anesthetic (eye drops) only. The patient will feel essentially no pain in both eyes after 10 minutes of applying the anesthetic. While some patients may experience bleary eyes or some stinging in the hours right after the surgery, there will essentially be no pain. Any symptoms except negligible discomfort will disappear by the next day.
Can I work the next day?
Please take a break from work the day after surgery. If you are doing desk work, you can work from the day after the operation, but if you perform hard work which makes you sweat, please rest 3-4 days after the surgery.
After the operation, do I need to take time off from work or sports?
Please take the day after your procedure off. You may resume light exercise such as jogging after one week, but please wait for one month to resume swimming or strenuous sports.
Can I order the desired vision with surgery?

Can I see soon after surgery? Can I go home alone?
On the day of surgery, your vision will be dim and not clear. You can go home alone, but please rest after your surgery. Your vision will be clear on the next day of surgery.
Has anyone ever been blinded by ICL surgery?
There is no loss of vision because of surgery. Because ICL is an internal eye surgery, please observe the eye drops and precautions before and after surgery.
What should I do if ICL does not have the expected vision?
ICL can provide a unaided vision of 1.0 (20/20) after surgery with a probability of 95 to 97%.Literature1-4
If you do not have the vision you want, you can even get better vision by replacing the ICL lens or adding LASIK.
Are there any complications or need for surgery after ICL?
Prior to the spread of the current hole type ICL, cataracts and glaucoma could occur after surgery. There is no risk of glaucoma when using the newer ICL with a central hole, and cataract risk is 0.03%. Also, very rarely, after surgery, the power and size of the lens does not match and lens exchange occurs in 0.48%, and the Toric ICL model to treat astigmatism needs realignment is 0.98% of the astigmatic axis after surgery. If I get cataract or glaucoma after ICL, can I take the same surgery as an ordinary person?
Even after cataract and glaucoma after ICL, you can take surgery as usual. In the future, you may get older and develop age-related cataracts, but you will also be able have the ICL lenses removed and take cataract surgery as any other normal person.
Does the ICL lens break or shift in the eye?
Because ICL is soft, it does not break in the eye, but if you hit your eyes hard like martial arts, the lens may shift in rare cases. In that case, there is no problem, we will return the lens to its original position.
Does ICL not cause sight regression like LASIK?
In LASIK, it has been reported in many academic papers that visual acuity falls with time. Literature11-15
, In ICL, the power of the lens does not change, so your vision will not decline unless myopia progresses. If myopia is progressing at around 20 years of age, your vision may decline several years after surgery, but in this case, ICL's lens replacement can be used to restore vision again.
I took LASIK surgery before. Is it now possible to take ICL and improve your vision again?

If you can not afford or do not want to re-operate due to corneal thickness, adding ICL will regain your vision.
Can presbyopia progress with ICL surgery?
Presbyopia does not advance in ICL. However, from those who were living with weak glasses and contact lenses after 40 years of age, symptoms of presbyopia that had already started may appear when it comes to good visual acuity after surgery and it may make it difficult to see near. If I have the ICL lenses removed, will my eyes be restored?
If you have problems after surgery or if you do not get the expected vision and you have the ICL lenses removed, you can return to the life of your glasses and contact lenses as you did before surgery. However, the degree of myopia and astigmatism may change slightly depending on the surgical incision.
How long does it take for the lens to arrive?
Lenses without astigmatism will arrive as early as one week after the second examination. Also, if the lens with astigmatism is strong, it may take up to 2 months from ordering to lens arrival. We will notify you of the lens arrival schedule after ordering the lens.
Is it possible to support foreign languages (English and Chinese)?
English examination and surgery is possible. For other languages, we ask for interpreters to accompany you.
